This morning, I skipped the ride to my commuter train but took the bus instead, as the thermometer had only a single degree Fahrenheit to offer. WAY too cold – and of course I want to spare my bike the ugly winter biking hazards as listed in today’s Book of Crowd Wisdom:
Wikipedia actually has a whole long article dedicated to winter biking and the threats to bike and rider that come with it. No way – way too dangerous for me; eh, I mean: for my bike.
Then again, the streams and rivers have frozen, so I could potentially re-engineer my commuter bike to someting like the ice bike shown here:
